We are delighted to introduce Aktiva Camps After School Care Services at John Betts Primary School. 

Aktiva hosts wrap around services on the school premises and operates from the end of the school day until 6.00pm. Your children will be brought to the Breakfast Club Room on-site by their teachers where they will experience our multi-choice, multi-activity sessions. The Aktiva team get to know the children on an individual basis and together they plan inspiring and exciting activities that best meet the children’s needs and wants. The team also devise active sessions that inspire the children to try new things, building confidence and broadening their experience.   After School Club runs every day that the children are in school.   The John Betts after school enrichment clubs will continue as normal, and your children can join Aktiva either at 3.30pm or 4.30pm.  John Betts/Club staff will ensure that any children attending Aktiva are delivered to the club at the appropriate time for Aktiva Camps.

Aktiva’s healthy and active sessions support children to learn and develop through play.  We are extremely proud of our high impact, high energy sessions designed to get your children moving after a day focusing in the classroom.  We provide arenas for creativity and expression of artistic talent. We provide eco-systems of free flow games and sessions where children can grow in skill and social networks. 
 

We place a lot of emphasis on our people, and we invest in their training to ensure they have all the skills, qualifications and up-to-date knowledge they need to deliver the very best services for children, families and schools.

We provide a substantial snack which includes wraps and sandwiches, fruit, cheese and crackers and crudities/dips. Children are encouraged to help us plan our menus and contribute to selecting their favourite things.  Aktiva is a multi-choice multi-activity organisation. Weather dependent we will be getting them active outdoors with a range of activities for them to choose. We pre-plan each session with multiple activities for the children to participate in. Dependent on numbers at each session, children will be zoned into key stage in the space that we are using.

Daily Schedule
3pm - Staff on site
3.00 – 3.30pm – Preparation of venue (setting up activities, snack, register collection)
3.30 - 3.40pm – Children arrive from their classes – registered into service
3.40 – 4.15pm – Multi activity sessions board games /Lego/Role play/play dough/free play/stem  

                             activities
4.15 - 4.30pm – snack
4.30 – 5.30pm – multi-choice, multi activity sessions

• Indoor - Art and Design - Paper Mache/Collage /Painting - Adult led
• Outdoor sports session - Hockey, Netball, Football, Touch Rugby, Rounders Adult led

5.30 – 6pm – prepare children for collection while light activities are taking place
