Buddy Reading

Buddy Reading is back at John Betts!

 

We are so pleased to be able to reintroduce our Buddy Reading across the school.

 

Buddy readers are paired with children from older classes to foster a love of reading and interactions that encourage conversations around stories. The older children get to become the teacher and encourage the children to be inquisitive about the book they are reading. It also allows the younger children the chance to be read to by an older child and build friendships.

Please call the school office on 02087482465 to book yourself onto a school tour which will take place every Tuesday morning at 9.30am - 10.30am throughout the autumn term starting on the 24th September.
