Our Children's Leadership Team is made up of Year 6 pupils. They wrote a letter of application for a role or roles of responsibility they wished to fulfil, delivered a presentation, attended an interview with an external panel. In addition to all of this, they were voted in by their peers. The process is set out so they can understand the world of employment as well as incorporating a democratic voting process.
Our Community and Wellbeing Leads planned, wrote, and delivered an assembly on managing ‘big feelings’, linking this directly to the Zones of Regulation. Their assembly supported pupils to recognise emotions, understand how these impact behaviour, and learn practical strategies to regain regulation.
