International Day

International Day

Each year, we celebrate our place in the world community and our very own rich and diverse community with a bespoke International Day. Children and staff dress up to represent countries from around the world and the children spend the day in mixed aged groups travelling around the five continents of the world, taking part in different activities. These have included: cooking, dancing, art, languages and drumming.

Children showcase their work at the end of the day at our whole school assembly. The pièce de résistance is the staff dance off , a range of cultural and historic dance moves combined with modern choreography from all five continents. We end the day with an international food market for our families, where we enjoy a huge variety of culinary treats from across the globe.
